Selena Gomez Reveals What Her Break Was Really About

It was nearly two years ago, reports that Selena Gomez was fighting lupus first came to light. The singer never addressed these reports and her representatives refused to confirm or deny. The questions have been answered. For the first time, Gomez has decided to speak up about her struggle with the autoimmune disease. “I was diagnosed with lupus, and I’ve been through chemotherapy. That’s what my break was really about. I could’ve had a stroke," Gomez told Billboard magazine. In late 2013 and early 2014, Gomez abruptly cancelled the Asian and Australian leg of her Stars Dance Tour. selena gomez People suspected addiction. Reports surfaced that said Gomez had checked into rehab. Although her rep at the time insisted she wasn't receiving treatment for substance abuse, it was confirmed that she was seeking treatment at Dawn at The Meadows recovery facility in Wickenburg, Ariz., for "emotional issues" and "partying." Gomez says, “I wanted so badly to say, ‘You guys have no idea. I’m in chemotherapy. You’re a**holes.' I locked myself away until I was confident and comfortable again." selena gomez Although not saying much about her current state of health, Gomez did talk to US Weekly about her current mental state. "This was the first year I ever dealt with anyone talking about my body," she said. "I'd land at the airport and people would yell out, 'You're fat!' It was awful. I've been working in therapy. Even if I did gain weight, I'm fine." One thing is clear, Selena Gomez is working hard to manage her health and is not only tuning out, but drowning out, the body-shamers. For locations outside of the US and Canada, we ship using FedEx International (EUROPE and Other Nations), which is usually in transit for 7-10 business days, depending on location.

We ship all of our physical products with UPS, from our warehouse location in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Signatures are required on all orders. Delays caused due to custom withholds are not included in these estimated delivery times.

Returns & Exchanges

BodyRock Equipment

We offer a 30-day return policy, as long as: it is not more than 30 days past the date of delivery; and your item is in its original condition and packaging with the original order number. Refunds will be issued when the equipment is received back to the BodyRock warehouse, minus the original cost of shipping, and the customer is responsible for the costs of return shipping. To request a refund on physical product purchases, please contact us.

Digital Products

We cannot issue refunds on digital goods such as e-books or videos, as these are non-tangible goods that are irrevocable once the order is placed.
