Signs You Might Be Ill #7: Blood in Urine or Stool

There are few things more terrifying than looking into the toilet after you've relieved yourself and finding the water tinged red. Blood in your stool or urine can cause you to freak out, but before you think of the Big C, consider the other causes. Hemorrhoids can cause your stool to be filled with blood, and a urinary tract infection can cause your urine to be tinged with blood. Get yourself checked out for these two disorders before you freak out.   [caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="650"] Source: globalnews.ca[/caption] If you DON'T have either hemorrhoids or a UTI, the blood in your stool or urine may be a sign of bladder, kidney, or colon cancer. The truth is that you should ALWAYS see a doctor if you see blood in your waste products. It's not normal or healthy for your stool or urine to contain blood. Even if there are no symptoms of any other health problems, it's definitely the smart play to let your doctor know.
