Simple Flank Steak Marinade Recipe

I am a carnivore.  Focusing on high quality protein at every meal is a dream come true. And the fact that my grill skills rival those of any middle-aged man, well, dinner is pretty much bliss whether my husband is home or not, as I'd much prefer fire up the grill than slave in the kitchen. Here is a favorite marinade of mine. It works with any cut of steak, but I'm definitely a fan of flank steak for its lack of fat and ability to crisp on the thin edges. It's likely you have all these ingredients on hand, which can also make it a staple in your household too.

Steak Marinade

juice of one lime

three tablespoons liquid aminos (or soy sauce)

three tablespoons Worcestershire sauce (if you want to make your own or want a Paleo version, try this recipe)

two tablespoons olive oil

one tablespoon whole thyme leaves

two minced cloves of garlic

pinch of cayenne pepper

Marinate a minimum of two hours or overnight.

Fire up the grill to medium-high heat and cook approximately 4 minutes each side or until your preferred temperature/doneness.

Use a vegetable grill pan and grill a mixture of mushrooms, onions, zucchini and asparagus along with your steak.

That is dinner done right in my book!   Bon Appetit! Lonni
