Going commando can be totally liberating. Gone is the constricting and uncomfortable feeling of something taking hold of your lady parts that you end up having to take frequent trips to the bathroom to adjust. They seem sort of unnecessary to begin with, especially thongs. The barely there underwear may leave you without lines, but it also leaves you wondering what the tiny piece of fabric is really doing for you anyway.
It's also reassuring to know you won't have to spend an overpriced fee on them either, or try to pick through the wash and hang them up to dry. Laundry doesn't need one more excuse to suck, am I right?
But with all the glory that comes with leaving the house panties-free, there are some rules to live by to make sure you make the most of your decision.
Here are six questions to ask yourself before taking the leap into the commando world.
1. Did I shave?
If you're not well-manicured, the feeling of your hair against your clothing can be even more uncomfortable than wearing undies, so make sure you keep it trimmed up to avoid the constant urge to itch in public.
2. Am I about to get my period?
You're definitely not going to want to spoil your cute pair of pants with a little blood. If you know your time is coming up, be on the safe side and opt for the undergarment.
3. Is constant discharge a problem for me?
Some ladies are unfortunately dealt the messy hand of constant discharge, so, if you're one of them, you'll want to think twice before subjecting your outerwear to this.
4. What do I plan on eating today?
Your vagina is going to have some sort of scent no matter what, but what you eat indicates how you might smell, so steer clear of foods like asparagus, garlic or curry should you decide to toss the panties away for the day.
5. Are your pants too tight?
No one wants a yeast infection, so avoid it by making sure there is enough room between your pants and your lady region.
Go commando when you wear looser fitting jeans. Have a boyfriend cut? This style of jean is a better option than the skinny ones.
6. Will my vagina touch a seat?
Wearing a short skit and no panties? Beware of the dangers ahead. Along with public exposure, you'll want to avoid germs as well.
