They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Breakfast is truly the meal that fuels you for most of your day. If you have a busy job where you don’t have time to eat throughout the day this is the perfect recipe to get you through. I eat oatmeal almost every morning and it is the only thing that keeps me full and gives me energy to get through even the toughest workouts. Oatmeal contains soluble fiber which is a long-lasting source of energy. Instead of starting your day with a sugar packed muffin or Danish try this #skinnyrecipe! Protein Packed Oatmeal You will need: ½ cup oats 1 cup water 1 scoop of your favorite Protein Powder ½ of a banana ¼ cup pecans 2 shakes of cinnamon ¼ cup almond milk or coconut milk or rice milk Option: 1 teaspoon agave or 1 tbsp of coconut sugar You can make this recipe with instant oatmeal or with steel cut oats. Follow directions on the label of the oatmeal you have and then add these. Add Protein Powder, banana, pecans, cinnamon and almond milk. The oatmeal is flavorful and delicious; if you need it a little sweeter add agave. I find this oatmeal recipe sweet enough on its own but you can add agave or coconut sugar if you like. Pecans contain beneficial nutrients, minerals and vitamins so adding them to your oatmeal make this recipe even more healthy and good for your body. This oatmeal is bound to keep you motivated and satiated throughout your day. Enjoy!
