Sofia Vergara and ex Nick Loeb in Legal Fight Over Her Frozen Eggs
Sofia Vergara and her ex fiance Nick Loeb are locked in a complicated legal fight over her frozen eggs which they had planned to use to have children before they split.
Loeb has filed a lawsuit in California to prevent Vergara from destroying two cryopreserved female embryos created through IVF. According to the court documents, the couple fertilized her eggs with his sperm in 2013 planning to use a surrogate due to the radiation treatments Vergara had received to treat thyroid cancer.

The couple had made no legal agreements on what would happen to the embryos if the relationship ended. Basically, the decision will be made by a judge. Legal experts say it will be unlikely that Loeb will be able to use the embryos without Vergara's consent.
I'm going to skip all the gossip and drama about the Vergara/Loeb split (and trust me, there is a lot) to focus on the more important issues and questions.
Who has the say here? I am a feminist, I make no bones about being a feminist, and I believe that women have a right to control their reproductive functioning as they see fit, BUT this is murky territory. The eggs are fertilized, why are they any more hers than his? What do you think? Should Loeb get the embryos or should the be destroyed as per Vergara's wishes?
