Spicy Roasted Garlic Red Pepper Hummus
I have recently been going through a hummus craze, so I thought that I may as well try to make it myself if I’m going to be guzzling it by the bowlful. Ok, it hasn’t gotten that bad, but I have made a serious investment in pita chips.
Ingredients:
Directions:
- 1 can of chickpeas (15oz) drained (about 2 cups)
- 1 roasted red pepper
- 1 jalapeño, chopped and seeded
- 4 cloves of roasted garlic
- 2 tbsp lemon or lime juice
- ½ cup sesame seeds
- dash of salt
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp hot sauce

- Blend all ingredients in food processor until smooth. Seriously. It’s that easy.
