Spirulina, So good for You!
I discovered Spirulina a couple years ago when I got the flu my friend told me to take it.
I had never heard about spirulina, but once I did some research on it I wondered why everyone wasn’t taking it on a daily basis to be healthy.
What is spirulina?
It is a nutrient rich blue-green algae, cultivated worldwide and used as a dietary supplement and as a whole food. Although using spirulina dates back to the 9th century, spirulina wasn’t used in commercial production until the 1970's.
Today spirulina is being used around the world to treat illness and is being discussed as a sustainable source of food to end world hunger.
What are the health benefits of spirulina?
- Boosts your immune system.
- Balances Blood Pressure
- Normalizes Cholesterol
- Lowers Stroke and Cancer Risk
