Stop The Beauty Madness

A new ad campaign from author Robin Rice, founder of Be Who You Are Productions, takes stock photos and adds messages about beauty standards for a combination that calls attention to the blatantly unrealistic standards of beauty that face women in today’s society. stopthebeautymadness stopthebeautymadness7 Stop The Beauty Madness is yet another campaign trying to shift the attitude regarding beauty, or at least start a conversation about the attitudes in play. Weight, race, age, sexuality – all of these elements are highly stereotyped topics in society, and this photo series looks to address all of these issues, as all of these ultimately tie into the idea of beauty. stopthebeautymadness8   stopthebeautymadness3   stopthebeautymadness10 The manifesto of the campaign is this:
Enough of the impossible standards. Enough of the "ideal" image. Most of all, enough of the feeling of NOT ENOUGH when it comes to your own beauty. There also comes a time when an entire culture of women have had it. When blogs and ad campaigns and AS-IS selfie pictures start to change the rules of the game. That time is now. That culture is this culture.
And I couldn’t agree more.
