Stop Comparing Yourselves to Kate Middleton

News broke over the last couple of days that a princess was born.

Kate Middleton

Less than 12 hours after giving birth, Kate Middleton Duchess of Cambridge, stepped out looking just as fabulous as she did the first time-perhaps, even better.

Naturally, this has sent women all over the world into a shocking frenzy and the fierce comparisons and comments have begun:

"How does she look like that?"

"I am so jealous! I definitely did not look like her!"

"That is soooo not fair!"

Totally understandable. After all, I remember what I was doing ten hours after giving birth:

I was laying in my hospital bed, barely could walk due to the numbness, and bleeding all over my hospital bed (sorry, guys-just my harsh reality). I am sure some of you can relate to that. However, some of you may have stepped out looking just as gorgeous as the Duchess herself-that that is awesome.

However, when it comes to Kate Middleton, we tend to forget who she is. Think about it this way: millions and millions of people around the world are waiting for your appearance with your newest addition. They will be looking, judging, and carefully spying. Who wouldn't want to put on a little makeup?

Chances are, she has a stylist, a hair stylist, a make-up artist (though it's been said that she actually does her makeup all by herself-just like she did for her wedding), and someone to help her with poise and grace. She is the freaking Duchess of Cambridge.

She may be happy, beautiful, and glowing, but I betcha she is heading home to throw on those comfy black yoga pants, pull her hair back into a ponytail, and enjoy her newest little addition.

She's human-no matter what her royal duties are. But we must stop with the comparisons.

There is no set standard of how a woman should look after giving birth. Let her be.
