Stop The Pain: The Hangnail Hacks You NEED To Know!
You know those little buggers that pop up around your nail bed every so often? Those annoying little cuticle-like impostors who are painful to keep and even more painful to remove? Those are called hangnails and many people get them. But the best thing about them is they can be prevented and treated without all the suffering!
Don't Touch:
Start by not touching them. Rubbing, biting or yanking at them can lead to infection and further irritation.
Prevention:
To stop them from showing up, moisturize with a nail balm. You can even use shea butter, jojoba oil or coconut oil if you would rather keep things as natural as possible. The trick is not to let your cuticles dry to the point that they begin to chap.
Keeping the skin hydrated also means keeping your body hydrated, so drink lots of water. Also ensure you're getting a proper intake of nutrients from your diet.

Treatment:
If you're stuck with a painful hangnail, you can use cuticle nippers to delicately trim it back. If you're experiencing swelling, dip your finger in some warm salt water. This reduces your risk of infections while soothing swelling, redness and sensitivity. While you wait for the area to heal, keep it super clean and hydrated.
