Strange But True Fitness Tips #1: Use Deodarant for Chafing

In this series, we're going to take a look at a few of the strangest fitness tips we can find! Trust me, with the internet being the place it is, we're going to find a lot of VERY odd ones… First up, deodorant: it's not just for your underarms anymore! [caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="512"] Source:[/caption] Chafing is a problem that most runners face after a while. There's nothing worse than chafing when you're trying to complete that 10K, hike the last few miles, or finish up your walk. Some people (like myself) just can't avoid chafing no matter what happens! For a solution to chafing, rub deodorant on your inner thighs before you go running, walking, or hiking. The deodorant will act as a protective barrier, reducing the friction between your legs. It will also help to reduce the build-up of sweat in that sensitive region, helping you to avoid chafing. An important note: use STICK deodarant--the spray stuff isn't going to do anything to help you deal with the friction.
