We all deserve to treat ourselves on occasion, but sometimes we want a treat without the post-treat remorse. While this delicious and creamy smoothie is by no means nutritionally perfect, it is a healthier alternative to a strawberry milkshake. Give it a go next time you want to curb your sweet tooth with a lesser evil. This makes 2-4 servings.
You’ll need:¾ of a 250 gram package of light or fat free cream cheese, softened. 1 cup of milk (or milk alternative) 2 tablespoons agave nectar ½ - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 cups frozen strawberries, slightly thawed
OPTION:1-2 tablespoons of Nutella (SWOON!) and/or 1 scoop vanilla, chocolate or strawberry protein powder, in which case you can swap out the agave nectar.
Directions:Blend all your ingredients together in the blender until smooth. Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately.
