Study Reveals The Top Little White Lies That Men And Women Tell

From 'I'm fine' to 'I bought it on  sale', where do your go-to lies fall on the scale? A recent Australian based study concluded the lies that women and men tell most frequently. According to findings, 64% of women lie on social media sites like Facebook and Instagram on the regular. The top city where women lie most online is New York, and the top location for male liars is Brisbane, Australia. Let's face it, we've all been guilty of amping up our online personas to make ourselves sound more interesting. But what about real life lies? For women, the top 10 most commonly told lies are as followed: 1. 'Nothing's wrong, I'm fine' 2. 'Oh, this isn't new, I've had it for ages' 3. 'It wasn't that expensive' 4. 'It was on sale' 5. 'I'm on my way' 6. 'I don't know where it is, I haven't touched it' 7. 'I didn't have that much to drink' 8. 'I've got a headache' 9. 'No, I didn't throw it away' 10. 'Sorry, I missed your call' For men, this is how their fibs stacked up: 1. 'Nothing's wrong, I'm fine' 2. 'This will be my last drink' 3. 'No, your bum doesn't look big in that' 4. 'I had no signal' 5. 'My battery died' 6. 'Sorry, I missed your call' 7. 'I didn't have that much to drink' 8. 'I'm on my way' 9. 'It wasn't that expensive' 10. 'I'm stuck in traffic' Females interestingly enough lie most about purchases made, and men lie most about issues of communication. Some people in the study were completely conscious of their lying, while others seemed, at times, unaware. What is the most common lie you tell? Source: Daily Mail
