Study Shows Your Parents Probably Got It On More Than You

Baby boomers had no use for Tinder, that's for sure!  A new study, published in the Archives of Sexual Behavior and reported by Time, reveals that though Millennials are more tolerant of premarital sex than previous generations (58 percent in 2102 versus 28 percent in 1974), their parents and, in some cases, grandparents actually did the deed way more frequently.

People born in the 1950s and 1960s, had the most sexual partners — an average of 11 — of all groups surveyed, while Millennials only had an average of eight sexual partners. Way to go, mom!

So even though millennials are more inclined to premarital sex - why the lower number of partners? The study is sure that one main factor could be an increased awareness about HIV and STDs - not an issue of morality.

Despite your folks' friskier days, "sex talks" between the generations are probably still pretty awkward - which could also be a factor in the number difference. What you might see when Millennials are discussing these issues with their boomer parents is that Millennials are more permissive of sexuality, but boomers might have to shut their mouths about how many partners they've had.
