Survey Reveals Half of Adults Do Zero Exercise
Nearly half of adults have admitted to doing absolutely no exercise. This was revealed during a new study that has been done. A large percentage of adults still tend to be conscious about their health. Forty-four percent of people do nothing when it comes to exercise.
The survey had revealed a difference in attitude toward working out between both males and females. Researches had discovered that men seem to work out more often. However, women will place more emphasis when it comes to a healthier lifestyle.
Nearly 2,000 adults between the ages of 18 and 60 answered questioned from researchers. There were 47% of people that admitted to being severely overweight.
During the study, it was also found that 40% of respondents mentioned that being healthy and fit was not an important part of their life. The results showed that men typically do a 30 minute vigorous workout twice per week, sometimes even more. Women tend to do this one and a half times each week.
When the question, “Do you think of yourself as health conscious?” was asked, there were just 52% of men who agreed, and that was in comparison to 60% of women. Men are typically more likely to just eat what they feel like and whenever they feel like it, and they know all they have to do is go to the gym to burn off the excess calories.
After this survey, it was clear that people are aware of the importance of eating healthy and exercising, but clearly most still weren’t following through. That’s where the concern is.
Being healthy and fit should be part of each person’s life – What can you do to make this part of your life?
