In late November, Chris Rock shot a video under "The Black List", a series of videos done by African-American artists, comedians, actors, and musicians detailing the black experience in the United States. In the video Chris Rock talks about the four other blacks who live in his incredibly affluent neighborhood. Those four consist of two baseball Hall of Famers, Mary J Blige, and another comedian. His next door neighbor is a dentist. Just a dentist. However much we might want to deny that the United States has moved past the days of white supremacy, remnants of it still remain. I love what Chris Rock says about what equality would mean, "Being able to be bad and still come back from it. The license to suck."
