Thai Peanut Sauce
Sauces and marinades are sometimes the secret killer in your diet. Highly processed, full of sugar and preservatives, why ruin your magnificently healthy stirfry with a less than healthy topping? Plus, I always think homemade just tastes better anyways. It is definitely worth the extra 5 minutes it takes to whip up your own sauce.
Ingredients:
I used this for tofu vegetable pad thai, but you could easily use this for any stirfry, as a salad dressing, a marinade, or a dipping sauce.

- ¼ cup peanut butter
- 1 tbsp hot sauce
- ½ cup coconut milk
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil (or tamari)
- 2 tsp grated ginger (optional)
- 2 tsp brown sugar or maple syrup
- ½ tsp of lime juice
- Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor, by hand - mixing vigourously, or on the stovetop in a small sauce pan.
- Add to your favourite dish!
