Question #1: "Do You Like Adventure?"

“A planner and a thrill-seeker will generally have a hard time making it work." says Dr. Diana Kirschner, psychologist. “Ideally, you want a partner with a similar level of adventurousness.” If you are the kind of soul who can pack up and leave for a spontaneous road trip and your partner requires months of planning and forethought for every experience, you just won't click. Try and find out his level of adventure.

Question #2: "What in Your Life Would You Say You Feel Most Grateful For?"

"This question can tell you a lot about his value system and whether it’s in sync with yours.” says Kirschner. You want to hear that he is grateful for friends, family, his dog and the experiences he has been able to share in life. Hopefully he doesn't answer with materialistic things like cars, gadgets or a big promotion.

Question #3: "What Was the Best and Worst Part of Your Childhood?"

"Learning about how he grew up will clue you into his earliest template for love relationships.” says Kirschner. “If a person is from a difficult background, that often indicates there is trouble coming down the pike.” Remember to only ask him this question after you share a piece about your own past. If his past is a little haunting, this may mean he has emotional baggage. That is definitely not a deal-breaker but something to remember in future.

Question #4: "If You Could Have Anything You Wanted, What Would Your Dream Life Look Like?"

This is a question which really gives you an accurate picture of his longterm dateability. Does he mention a house? Kids? Settling down? Or is he interested in being a free spirit? Traveling the globe? Remaining free of commitment? What are your top first date suggestions! Share them in the comments.
