The Buddy System

There’s power in numbers - and research has the numbers to show it. A study completed at the University of Oxford explains why working out with a friend is more motivating than a solo session. Turns out that when people exercised in groups of 5 they had a higher pain threshold than when they worked out alone.

Emma Cohen,PhD, the lead study author attributed the gains in performance to a social high. It may very well be social pressure too. Either way, the end result is a kick ass workout!
