The Painful Reason To NEVER Fall Asleep With Your Phone In Bed

You have probably been warned before about the dangers of falling asleep with your phone between your sheets. But mid-way through scrolling your Insta feed and your eyelids begin to droop, you forget. Scrolling your phone right before bed is a bad idea to begin with because it can cause sleep disruptions and lead to issues of insomnia later on. The danger does not stop there. Falling asleep with your phone in bed can result in horrible chemical burns, depending on the case you use. For New Zealand native Erin Nelson, her brand new glitter phone case was to blame for waking up to find her backside scorched with second degree chemical burns! After the case got a tiny crack in it, and the chemicals within it leaked out and reeked havoc on Erin's skin. [bctt tweet="The Painful Reason To NEVER Fall Asleep With Your Phone In Bed"] cell phone case burn "I woke up to a broken phone and second degree chemical burns on my bum. On your packaging it doesn't say anything about having chemicals in the case. So I would like someone to get in touch with me to let me know what chemicals have burnt me." Erin said in a rant directed at the company, Forever New, who sells the $20 "Sophia" case. Since Erin and others have complained about similar incidents, the case has been thankfully pulled from shelves. This frightening situation makes you think twice about the products you use and trust.
