There is a sense of intimacy that happens behind closed doors between two people. It's an unspoken connection that, when exposed, can be truly beautiful.
Wanda Martin, who studied at the London College of Fashion, took candid photos to reveal just how similar heterosexual and same-sex relationships can be.
The series is called "Lovers" and shows both men and women in their own beds. This provided the utmost comfort for the people being snapped.
[bctt tweet="These Intimate Photos Show What Lovers Are Really Like in Bed"]The reason for this project was to show that love has no boundaries, no matter what someone's sexual orientation. Wanda said, "In this project my aim was to explore the nature of sexual fluidity and show the similarity between different kinds of (heterosexual and homosexual) relationships through photographing couples of our contemporary youth culture. I try to celebrate 'love par excellence' and show that love and sexuality doesn’t depend on sex or gender, only on the person. For my project I’m shooting couples in their own rooms, in their private environment. The project is still ongoing and aims to investigate the nature of sexuality, love and identity."
