These MLB Announcers Took Their Taunting Too Far When They Zoomed In on a Group of Girls Taking Selfies

The popularity of the "selfie" has seen many stages throughout its lifetime over the last few years. With social media ever-growing and the easy access of our cellphone cameras, we snap a shot whenever and wherever. We've undoubtedly become shameless to this self portraiture, and while we get poked fun at incessantly, we just can't help it. One of the biggest issues people have with selfies is that they take away from simply being in the moment, hence what recently happened at a baseball game. When MLB announcers at an Arizona Diamondbacks game noticed a group of girls taking photos of themselves with their friends, they couldn't help but make a few snarky comments. And while at first it seemed innocent enough, their remarks turned ugly quickly as they continued to broadcast them to the world whilst laughing and saying “Do you have to make faces when you take selfies?” these MLB announcers made fun of young girls taking selfies They went on to say such things as: "Y’know, the beauty of baseball is you can sit next to your neighbour and have a conversation — or you can just completely ignore them!” “That’s the best one of the 300 pictures I’ve taken of myself today!” “Every girl in the picture is locked into her phone. Every single one is dialed in. They’re all just completely transfixed by the technology. . .welcome to parenting in 2015!” “Hold on, gotta take a selfie with the hot dog. Selfie with the churro. Selfie just with the selfie.” And while it was clear these announcers were having a little too much fun with the situation, it also shows they were trying to spite them as well. And for what? To prove a point? What do you think of this entire situation? Source: Hello Giggles Do you follow us on Instagram?
