Thinstagrams! The Slimming Tricks Celebrities Use To Look So Trim In Their Social Media Selfies
It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to get a trim, fit figure. You've got to eat properly, get yourself moving, and not forget to hit the weights!
But what if you could look fabulous in your online selfies by simply pressing a few buttons on your smartphone?
There are a whole whack of easy to use apps that will make you look thinner, instantly. And just as we may want a fast and easy 'thin' solution, celebrities appear to be no different.
The 'problem,' of course, is that these thinning apps often leave evidence of their alterations.
Have a look at this example from Miranda Kerr:
See the way the carpet warps?
Killer Curves Queen, Beyoncé, appears to have also found a use for these apps:
That is one warped looking phone!
Say it ain't so, Gaga!
This one is my personal favourite:
I mean, wow.
It appears these apps work by allowing users to stretch themselves to appear thinner and taller. Some even allow for head and neck adjustments so that the bodies can remain in proportion.
And if you aren't someone who is looking to appear thinner, perhaps you are looking for MORE curves, these apps can help you too!
Kelly Brook altered a beach photo to appear a little more Kardashian-esque:
The lengths people will go to to appear more 'perfect,' whatever that looks like, have few limits. None of us should be surprised to live in a world that places so much emphasis on looking a certain way. It is sad, really.
But there is an important take away here. The take away is not that you can lie and cheat your way to a 'perfect' body, it is that you should never really trust the images you are looking at. Just because something seems to be one way, doesn't mean it is. There is no perfect.
Love the body you have, work for the one you want.
Would you use a slimming app for your online selfies? Why or why not?
