This Fitness Guru Used CGI to Alter Herself On Film to Battle Body Shaming
No one is a stranger to the topic of body shaming. Whether it's too tall, too short, too skinny, too fat, short legs, big nose: there is always something we bring ourselves, or, sadly, others, down for.
After receiving a slew of negative comments about her body, Cassey Ho, social media fitness guru and creator of Blogilates, decided to appease her fans by making a powerful video to show just what she would look like if she did, in fact, "lose some weight".
But first, she posted this photo of her photoshopped frame to see just what kind of response her new and "improved" physique would get. Casey altered her bust, waist, thighs and face shape in the below photo.
The comments ranged from extreme praise to calling her out on having some kind of eating disorder.
Casey's next move was a powerful video asking "What would you change?". She told People magazine:
"The goal is to show that cyber-bullying and mean comments really affect people, and to think before you say something," she says. "I hope that people do the exact opposite after seeing this video, which is enlighten everyone around them with positivity."
