Not everyone makes enough time to eat breakfast, and we all know it's called the most important meal of the day. So when you do take time to prepare or buy something to eat in the morning, you feel pretty good about yourself. But you might not feel so good about your sudden hunger by the time you get to the office. What gives?
Your meal isn't big enough
A piece of fruit or a cup of juice won't cut it. It's crucial to have a well-balanced meal in the morning.
You're not eating the right thing.
A well-balanced breakfast comes complete with protein, carbohydrates and healthy fats. Steer clear of foods that are labeled "breakfast," like cereal, muffins and pancakes, which are typically highly processed and full of sugar.

If you only had time for a lighter breakfast, or just weren't that hungry, then just make sure you have a snack before lunch to avoid a blood sugar crash. Veggie sticks with hummus or a handful of nuts with an apple are both great choices.
