There are so many amazing workout products out there for us to use. However, some of the products that are geared towards helping us have great cores, bums and thighs are just plain ridiculous. Here's my top four:
1. The Boob Weight
Ah, the boob weight. The perfect weight for the men "who think about women all the time even when the iron is held in the hands," says the 306 Creative Communication agency responsible for the weight. The weight comes in three sizes and has apparently been selling well. The 16-kilogram model is selling for $375, the 24-kilogram for $435 and 32-kilogram for $495. That's a lot of money for some weighted boobs.
2. No!No! FaceTrainer
It's just what you always needed. A neoprene mask that is designed to help you train your facial muscles. The mask is meant to smooth out wrinkles and lift sagging skin. The mask slides over your face and does up with Velcro straps at the back of your head. The user is supposed to do several facial exercises for ten minutes a day. The accompanying DVD illustrates these exercises. My favorite exercise is the "the surprised puppy dog."
The Facial lift at onc
e gets a special mention. It does more or less the same with less face coverage.
3. The Hawaii Hula Chair
The perfect new chair to help you workout at the office! You may have seen this chair in action on Ellen
, but for those of you who didn't let's recap. The Hawaii chair does the hula while you sit in it. Actually. It is supposed to help with: weight loss, muscle control, body alignment and maintain hip flexibility. I even read somewhere it is supposed to help with elimination. Allegedly, it tones your bum, core, and thighs at the speed of your choice. Oh, and it gives a really nice massage.
4. The Shake Weight
Unless you live under a rock you've probably seen the shake weight, but I couldn't leave it out. The dumbbell shakes, which allegedly increases muscle activity by nearly 300 percent. The women's version is 2.5 pounds and purportedly tones shoulders, arms and chest. The shake weight is only meant to be used for six minutes a day to get results. I wonder what would happen if you used the shake weight AND the hula chair at the same time??
5. The Horseback Riding Fitness Machine
South Korea did it. They made a workout machine that lets you mimic the workout of a horseback ride from the comfort of your home. It appears that the Horse Riding Fitness Ace Power
is meant to work your core, thighs and bum. The seat moves side to side and bucks. There's a lot of pelvic thrusting. Just make sure your children aren't in the room; I have a feel their could be some collateral damage.
