Tropical Lime-ocado Smoothie
Avocadoes are one of the best foods on the planet!
- You can get 18 different amino acids from the fruit (yes, I looked it up, it is a fruit!), including the 9 amino acids needed to form a complete protein.
- They're rich in unsaturated fats to boost your HDL (good) cholesterol levels.
- The fruit is an excellent source of carotenoids (Vitamin A), zeaxanthin, and other eye health-boosting nutrients.
- 1 avocado
- 6 limes
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- Ice
- 2 cups of drinking water
- Grate the zest of 1 lime into the blender, and squeeze all of the limes into the cup.
- Cut the avocado in half, remove the seed, and scoop the fruit into the blender. (Here's a quick video on how to do it the easy way…)
- Add the honey, ice, and drinking water, and blend thoroughly.
