Wake Up Right: 3 Steps to a Better Breakfast

We can't stress enough the importance of eating a nutritious breakfast. Here are 3 steps to getting the most nutrient value out of your first meal of the day! 1) Pack it with protein! Nuts, Greek yogurt, eggs - get that fuel your body craves from the moment you wake up. Dollop some Greek yogurt into fruit smoothie. Add some pecans, almonds and hazelnuts to a bowl of muesli with red apple and honey. Try a hearty spinach frittata. The protein possibilities are endless! 2) Pre-make and store breakfast the night before No time to whip up something healthy in the A.M rush? Make healthy options the night before and store them in the fridge to grab on the go. Layer a parfait with Greek yogurt, delicious fresh fruits and  granola and nuts. Store in a jar or mini container so it's ready to go for morning! Try baking a quinoa breakfast casserole the night before with apple, cinnamon, nutmeg and almonds. Break off a slice and take it with you! 3) Keep it interesting Mix up some fun breakfast concoctions to keep tastebud boredom away! Strawberry dark chocolate yogurt parfaits anyone? Splice some goat cheese into your favourite frittata. Attempt a turkey, cheddar and guacamole egg "McMuffin" mimic. And of course, there are endless possibilities when it comes to smoothies!
