Walking For Fitness Is Real - But Make Sure You Do It Right! (INFOGRAPHIC)
Intense, sweaty, hard-driving, heavy lifting workouts get all the fitness glory. And that is understandable when consider they are impressive to witness and exhausting to experience. They leave you feeling like you've just had a workout. BUT, one the best exercises available to you is something you do every day. With a few tweaks, walking can be the greatest exercise in your regimen!
Can you really deny the benefits of walking? It is super convenient and requires very little in the way of equipment. It can also reduce your risk of heart disease while strengthening your bones and muscles.
So are you ready to give it a shot as exercise? It is important to try and get 30-minutes a day. You can break it up into 10-minutes in the morning, 10 at midday and 10 in the evening. Or, you can do 2, 15-minute blocks or the whole 30-minutes at once. It is up to you and what works with your schedule. Walk at a pace that is comfortable for you but try to alternate between periods of faster and slower walking in order to reap some of the benefits of interval training.
