Want to Get Ready for the Beach? HIIT up this Workout
The summer is upon us, which leads many of us to bare a bit more skin in shorts, tank tops and bikinis.
But if the beach season snuck up on you and you haven’t been paying much attention to getting in shape, it’s never too late to start. But don’t wait until tomorrow, until Monday, until the first of the month or until your birthday to get started. Get started TODAY. Every moment presents a chance for a new beginning. And once you decide that you are going to start, do something right away that will set that decision into motion.
Getting into a routine of taking some time out for yourself to work on your fitness levels will boost your confidence as you gain strength and improve your overall health. Take note of your progress along the way and celebrate the little successes. Maybe you were able to do something you couldn't do before or have improved your time on an exercise or the number or reps you can do with good form in an allotted amount of time. All the little things count in your journey! Progress is key when it comes to building confidence and becoming comfortable in your own skin.
Set aside 10 minutes (or more, if you’d like to go through this set for another round or two) to do this next set of exercises that will get your heart rate up and work all the major muscle groups in your body.
Do each exercise at high intensity for 50 seconds followed by 10 second rest. If the workout was not intense enough for you, add some weight or repeat the whole set again.
