What Is Marriage Really Like? One Wife Reveals All!
Being in a long term relationship gives you a hint as to what is to come if you choose to walk down the aisle. You trade in your dancing shoes for beaten up slippers, fancy dresses for sweatpants and nights out for Netflix and pizza. You also give up those wild Saturday nights for cozy Sunday mornings, yet those mornings are so much better. Wife and mother Joelle Wisler reveals just what marriage has in store. It isn't always a fairytale, but it's a lifestyle she wouldn't trade for the world. [bctt tweet="What Is Marriage Really Like? One Wife Reveals All!"] "Marriage is sitting reluctantly through a documentary about gold-mining, but not impaling yourself with the remote control. Marriage is someone reminding you that you’ll feel better if you go out and exercise, even when you’re pretty sure you’ll feel better if you eat a donut. Marriage is sometimes flipping someone off after they turn around." she explains. It is stopping yourself from getting carried away in an argument even though you just want to scream and yell sometimes. It is realizing that sometimes you are wrong, but not wanting to admit it. It is fighting over taxes, but making up with a cuddle. Marriage is seeing the two of you years from now when you're old and grey and not being scared by it. "Marriage is letting go of all the expectations of what you think marriage should be. Marriage is imperfect, stinky, and prone to bouts of silence. But it’s also knowing that someone is legally required to laugh at your jokes and scratch that spot you can’t reach on your back." reveals Joelle.
