Research reveals that more women than men become highly emotional after parting ways with their partner. Scientists studied people from 96 countries across the globe to better understand the biology behind break-ups. What they discovered was that women go through stages of anger and anxiety, where men are more likely to be accepting of what has happened. Women are more prone to post-break-up weight gain and insomnia. However ladies, we are the gender who moves on easier. Long term findings showed that men hold onto the bitter resentment of a relationship ending much longer than women, even though they bury their feelings deep down. This male reaction is inevitably more self destructive than the female way of handling things. Women work through their feelings and process them, while men keep them lingering in their hearts.
