Cleanse, Moisturize, Repair: Our Two Ingredient DIY Workout Beauty Balm!

The age defying benefits of exercise have been long observed, proving that the ultimate fountain of youth is actually found in a puddle of your own sweat. In fact, resistance training has been shown to even reverse aging of human skeletal muscle. What kind of exercise is the best for anti-aging benefits? You guessed it: HIIT! Studies reveal that high-intensity interval training can inhibit cellular aging and even promote rejuvenation of cells that repair damage in our bodies.

Yeah. It’s that good.

Want another way to promote healthier, younger looking skin when you workout? Use our DIY beauty balm! It cleanses, it moisturizers, it promotes cellular regeneration and that post workout glow? Well, it'll be nuclear.

Our balm is particularly great for those of us that sweat it out al fresco in the dry, cold weather in the winter months since it will give your skin a much needed hit of hydration while also protecting it from wind chill.

You'll need:

2 tbsp coconut oil or grapeseed oil

8-10 drops PURE frankincense essential oil*

*must be 100% to ensure no chemicals or additives are used! If you have sensitive skin, start off with a smaller dose of frankincense oil: 1-2 drops.

Mix coconut or grapeseed oil and frankincense together in a small, resealable container. Apply to face prior to workout, massaging it into your skin in a circular motion.  Remove from face post-workout using small, circular motions with a damp cloth.

Why it Works

Both grapeseed and coconut oil are used in many skincare products and is known to both gently cleanse and moisturize your skin. Frankincense has been prized for centuries for a myriad of health benefits, not the least is its ability to promote healthy cell turnover and keep skin smoother, tighter and more toned. Combine these perks with the age defying benefits of HIIT, and you’ve got skin that not only looks healthier, but is healthier.
