DIY Super Healthy Mango Ice Cream

Summer and ice cream go together like humidity and thigh chafe, and unfortunately, too much ice cream can lead to more thigh chafe. Unless, that is, you make your own healthy ice cream with delicious, nutritious and natural ingredients.

Enter, our super healthy mango ice cream. It’s just one of the 40+ recipes in our new Fast & Furiously Fit ebook that proves you can eat healthfully, and eat well. The book itself is your guide into intermittent fasting—a method of eating that emphasizes when you eat over what you eat. By allowing your body to enter a fasted state every day (or most days), you create an optimal hormonal environment for fat burning and lean muscle gains. It sounds gimmicky, but it’s not: intermittent fasting has been around for centuries, and has been used to promote fat loss, muscle building, better moods, memory and sleep. And the fasting periods? They’re only 16 hours, and most of it is done when you’re asleep. You have eight hours a day to eat, and while the emphasis should always be on clean, whole foods (as with any healthy lifestyle), you don’t have to swear off any of the foods you love. You can eat bread. Potatoes. Chocolate. And yes, ice cream.

Mmmmm...mango…

As the featured healthy ice cream in our ebook--and one of the most popular desserts included (yes, there are more!)--we choose mango for its bevy of health benefits, and signature sweet taste. High in fibre, rich in antioxidants and essential vitamins and minerals, mango has been shown to promote heart, brain, eye and digestive health, while reducing the risk of developing chronic diseases like heart disease and cancer.

And the recipe itself is insanely easy to make. From start to finish, it only takes a couple minutes to whip this up. Like we always say: convenience is never a valid reason for a chronically crap diet. It takes less time to make this than it would to go to the shops for store-bought ice cream.

So, are you ready? Set? Enjoy!
