I would love to share my BodyRock journey.
I was always slim, but never fit. I used to call it “skinny fat”.
At age 39, I gave birth to twins and it had a huge impact on my body. As joyful as I was to have been so blessed with twins, I struggled with loving my new body.
That’s when I discovered Bodyrock, in 2011. It changed my life and my body. Although I will always have loose skin on my stomach (did you see the size of my stomach with those babies in there? The human body is incredible!), at 46, I am the fittest I have ever been.
Along came September 15, 2018 when my life changed forever. My oldest daughter (only 22), took her life. I felt lost and alone. I reached out to Jo Bolger, my first time ever communicating with anyone from the BodyRock community. She has helped me in so many ways and I am so grateful. It is so amazing that this community can connect you with people that help heal your soul. When I told her I couldn’t work out anymore because it made me cry, she said, “Cry the whole time, scream if you have to.” So that’s what I did.
My hour workouts everyday feel like a therapy session with an old friend even though we have never met or spoken. I look forward to hearing Lisa’s voice and sometimes crying, but mostly laughing with her and her quirky, contagious personality.
BodyRock is more than an online workout. It’s the BEST, most effective workout I’ve ever done. But it’s also a support system and positive community.
Lisa, I have been wanting to thank you for so long. You are a genuinely kind human and your heart comes through my TV every morning to start my day 💕.

My kids are now 14 and 16. The 16 year old boy is as good a kid as it gets. But my 14 year old daughter has been challenging. I definitely have been using my exercise regime with BodyRock to help me cope. My husband has recently retired from military service where he was deployed overseas a fair bit. Once he was home, I became very complacent in my fitness. I like to jog and would periodically exercise, but I did not have a regular habit. I only worked out when I felt like it. Nor did I watch what I would eat.
When I did workout, it was primarily BodyRock’s free videos on YouTube, but it was never consistent. Then in October 2017 I realized I had “back fat”. This launched me on a quest to improve my physical fitness and physique. I feel like I have done a good job over the last year and a half to achieve these goals and I am continuously working to continue improving.
I feel like I am setting a good example for my children, as a role model in fitness. Now if only I could get my husband to join me!

I’ve always worked out. All of my life on and off. More on than off until I injured my back. Then everything came to a halt. I’m turning 61 this year and I’m in the worst shape ever. Do you offer a program for someone like me?
