If you could lose some weight by doing one, simple, small thing, would you? We bet you would! If you don’t like the idea of counting calories and have a hard time getting yourself to the gym everyday, a recent British study may have found the perfect solution for you!

The research discovered  that drinking water before meals could help you shed pounds!

The researchers found 84 people looking to lose weight. They split the participants into groups, one being asked to drink 16 ounces of water 30 minutes before eating, while the other was told to imagine their stomachs feeling full before eating. After 12 weeks, the participants were weighed and the results found that, on average, the water drinking group lost 3 more pounds than the people instructed to imagine themselves full.
